30-Day Money-Back Guarantee — Not satisfied? Get a full refund within 30 days, no questions asked.
Your files never leave your device — you retain full ownership of all documents processed with OfflineRedact.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OfflineRedact (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Service Description
OfflineRedact is a client-side document redaction tool that detects and permanently removes Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from documents. The Service includes the following capabilities:
All document processing occurs entirely within your web browser. No document content is ever uploaded to, processed by, or stored on our servers.
3. Disclaimer — No Guarantee of Complete Redaction
While we strive for the highest accuracy in PII detection, OfflineRedact does not guarantee 100% detection or removal of all sensitive information. Automated pattern matching may miss certain data formats, non-standard patterns, or context-dependent information.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all redaction results before sharing, publishing, or distributing any document processed with OfflineRedact. We strongly recommend:
- Always review the redacted document visually before sharing
- Test that redacted text cannot be selected, copied, or extracted
- Use manual redaction for any items the automatic detection may have missed
- Keep a secure copy of the original document until you have verified the redaction
OfflineRedact is a tool to assist with document redaction — it does not replace professional legal or compliance review when required.
4. License & Subscription Plans

5. Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all Pro subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase.

- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days
- After 30 days, no partial or prorated refunds are available
- You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges
For annual subscriptions, the 30-day guarantee applies from the date of purchase. If you cancel after 30 days, your Pro access continues until the end of the annual period — no refund is issued for the remaining term.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use OfflineRedact only for lawful purposes. The following uses are prohibited:
- Using the Service for any illegal activity or to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service's source code
- Automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction from the Service
- Attempting to circumvent any access controls, licensing mechanisms, or security measures
- Using the Service to process documents you do not have the right to access or modify
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Service without our written consent
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service's infrastructure or other users' access
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate termination of your account and access to the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
The OfflineRedact software, website, brand, logos, and all associated content are the intellectual property of OfflineRedact and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of all documents, files, and content that you process using the Service. We claim no rights over your documents. Since all processing happens in your browser, we never have access to your content.
Your Pro license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
8. Account Terms
If you create an account with OfflineRedact:
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must not share your account or Pro license with other individuals or organizations
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- You may request account deletion at any time by contacting [email protected]; we will delete your account data within 30 days
9. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive to provide reliable access to OfflineRedact, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. For material changes that affect Pro subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email.
Since OfflineRedact's core functionality runs in your browser, the redaction tool works even when offline (after initial page load). This means your workflow is largely unaffected by server availability.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OFFLINEREDACT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from use of the Service
- Incomplete or inaccurate redaction of sensitive information
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your account data
- Service interruptions or unavailability
- Any third-party actions or content
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which OfflineRedact is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in your country of residence, as provided by applicable EU consumer protection legislation.
12. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to resolve any disputes informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration institution, rather than in court. You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
For users in the EU: This arbitration clause does not affect your rights to bring claims before the courts of your country of residence under applicable consumer protection laws. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
13. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OfflineRedact regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements or communications.
